I am a master educator and my area of expertise is the impact of trauma on adult learning. I’m an author, artist, and dancer. My book “Building a Trauma-Responsive Educational Practice: Lessons from a Corrections Classroom” is the first book to address the impacts of trauma on adult learners and the first book to provide guidance on teaching in prison.
Outside my work in higher ed, I specialize in workshops, classes, and private events focused on deepening the connection to our creative selves as a way to learn and grow. I created Storyclouding, an art-based facilitation process, Soul Art Portraits, a delicious glimpse of your energetic self, and occasionally host Dance4Connection events.
